SignOn.org - Bring Scott Walker back to Congress to explain his contradictory testimony.

The citizens of Wisconsin deserve the truth from Governor Walker. His testimony in front of the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform contradicted recorded statements that have come to light since his testimony. Was Act 10 a plan to attack unions developed immediately after Governor Walker's election, rather than a way to address a fiscal matter? Scott Walker should be called back to Congress to explain his answers to the Oversight Committee that don't match information that has recently come to light.

That's why a petition to Representative Darrell Issa, Chairman of the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform, has been created and says:

"Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker should be asked to explain his contradictory testimony to Congress."

Barrett focuses on probe of Walker aides in final recall debate - JSOnline

Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett stayed on the offensive Thursday in his second and final debate with Gov. Scott Walker, focusing on an ongoing secret investigation of Walker aides and divisions within the state since Walker was sworn in 17 months ago. … The sharpest exchange came when Barrett focused on the John Doe probe of Walker aides, and the governor called on Barrett to release police reports after a Journal Sentinel investigation found hundreds of serious crimes misclassified as lesser offenses. "I have a police department that arrests felons," Barrett said. "He has a practice of hiring them."

Wisconsin: Recall Is About Lawmakers Who Game the System

The recall election of Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker (R) and other lawmakers slated for June 5 is about many issues, including attacks on workers' basic freedom to bargain collectively for better lives. But fundamentally it's about a new style of politics, which shuns the American tradition of consensus, writes E.J. Dionne in a Washington Post column today. Walker is being challenged not because he pursued conservative policies but because Wisconsin has become the most glaring example of a new and genuinely alarming approach to politics on the right. It seeks to use incumbency to alter the rules and tilt the legal and electoral playing field decisively toward the interests of those in power.

Union says email shows Walker hid bargaining intentions - JSOnline

First it was a video of Scott Walker telling Billionaire Diane Hendricks of how he was going to deal with public employee unions through a "divide and conquer" strategy and just revealed today, an email exchange between Walker's Deputy Chief of Staff and a Deputy Sheriff shows that in September of 2010 Walker had a plan of how he was going to deal with "active state employees".

PolitiFact Wisconsin | Barrett says Walker used a "credit card" approach to balance state budget, pushing borrowing costs into the future

"You know how that budget surplus came about, if it is in fact there?" Barrett asked. "Because he used the credit card. He used the credit card, and pushed over $500 million in debt onto our children and our grandchildren."

Wisconsin: What’s So Important About Collective Bargaining?

In America today, states with higher concentrations of union members have a much stronger middle class. The 10 states with the lowest percentage of workers in unions all have a relatively weak middle class.

Mary Bottari: Is 'Right to Work' Next on Scott Walker's Agenda?

Many are wondering if making Wisconsin a "Right to Work" state is next on Governor Scott Walker's agenda if he wins the recall election on June 5. Right to Work laws weaken unions by allowing members to opt out of paying dues. Workers get the benefit of working in a union shop (higher wages, better benefits), but are not required to pay their fair share for union representation. Right to Work laws have been used effectively in the South to bust unions and keep wages low, which is why they are dubbed "Right to Work for Less" laws by opponents. The recent push for this legislation is emanating from the American Legislative Exchange Council (ALEC), where corporations and right-wing legislators vote as equals behind closed doors on "model" legislation.

Walker honors fallen soldiers in ceremony at Wood Cemetery - JSOnline

This is so hypocritical of Scott Walker. One of his closest appointees has recently been arrested for allegedly stealing tens of thousands of dollars from a charity for veterans. Has Scott Walker offered to replace that money back into the charity? No he has not.

Walker has NO College Degree, thus displaying his lack of support for continued learning and yet he attempts to stand up as an advocate for Educational Reform.

Walker is NO VETERAN, one of his closest appointees allegedly steals from a veterans charity, Walker makes no attempt to replace the money from the charity and he attempts to stand up as a representative of Wisconsin Veterans, another bad action by Walker.

Walker keeps low profile before vote - POLITICO

We can all agree that maybe Scott Walker himself has crawled back into his "secret" hole, you know, like his "secret" campaign office, but his untruthful anti-worker television commercials have not kept a low profile.

If WALKER wins this recall you will experience his wrath against workers, public and private employees, like we have not seen yet. To balance his next budget he will eliminate and cut employee benefits even more and he will begin his process of dismantling the very successful Wisconsin Retirement System.

He supports the wishes of billionaire Diane Hendricks to make Wisconsin a "Right-to-Work (Less)" State. His first step is to "Divide and Conquer" public and private sector workers.

VOTE WALKER OUT on JUNE 5 and DO NOT give him a chance to work on another state budget.

Although the American Legislative Exchange Council (ALEC) has been around for almost four decades, many people don’t know its name or handiwork. But activists in Salt Lake City and across America are working to change that. ALEC plans to hold its national conference in Salt Lake City July 23-28, and a Utah coalition of protest groups — calling itself the "ALEC Welcoming Committee" — is gearing up to educate Beehive State residents about the group.
