THE RAWSON COMPANY 2011
Everyone is entitled to their own opinions. But everyone is not entitled to their own facts.
Laugh often, long and loud... Laugh until you gasp for breath.
And if you have friends who make you laugh, spend lots of time with them.

In response to Rep. Thiesfeldt’s article, anyone who would call the last 100 days successful has not paid attention, is hearing but not listening. There’s been 10,000 or more people protesting in the street, 8 politicians in recall, the integrity of the governor’s office called into question, the legality and integrity of a major state election questioned, attempts to pass legislation that have drained public service of its experience and education to the point where the governor is pleading with the employees not to go. The reversal of the uninsured motorist law will now have people paying the same money for less insurance coverage. A single developer now can build on and destroy wetlands. The new bill attempts to remove funding from recycling and Senior Care programs, both of which are recognized in the country for their excellence. Wisconsin was the birthplace of environmental protections. It appears that Wisconsin government has now taken aim at the middle class and the under-priviledged and has closed the door on those sectors with a bill requiring ID’s to vote.

If you are a mega-company, campaign contributor, millionaire, or owner of a large multi-million dollar company, then Wisconsin is open for business and having a party, throwing confetti, and laughing all the way to the bank.

According to experts, property taxes will go up, necessities will escalate in price, and all around me people are being laid off from their jobs.

Where are the promised jobs and at what wages?

Even a rat knows when to leave a sinking ship.

I love Wisconsin and I am staying. I vow to fight and I am the middle class.

Wisconsin Capitol security high despite end of protests - WKBT News 8 - La Crosse, WI

The Wisconsin State Employees Union is the plaintiff of record for the pending lawsuit to open the State Capitol to the people of Wisconsin. However, it appears that the Governor and the Wisconsin Majority "fear" the Wisconsin citizen and continue with tight security.

Anti-Collective Bargaining Law Update

The budget repair bill that stripped collective bargaining from public employees remains tied up in court proceedings in Dane County. Judge Maryann Sumi is holding firm on her May 23rd filing deadline for all legal briefs.

The anti-collective bargaining bill is facing a challenge of a violation of Wisconsin's open meetings law.

Judge Maryann Sumi has suggested on more than one accassion to the defendants (Wisconsin Legislature Majority) that the matter would be a mute point if they would simply bring the legislative bill back before the legislature and take it through the process once again ensuring compliance with all notices and public meetings, but the Legislature Majority refuses saying they have already passed the bill once, legally.

Sen. Alberta Darling faces recall, but states she will vote YES for the stripping of collective bargaining from public employees

Sen. Alberta Darling (R-8) stated in an interview with WisPolitics today that if the budget repair bill measure that called for the stripping of collective bargaining rights from public employees were brought back for a vote, she would vote YES to the stripping of collective bargaining rights, again.

She further stated that the present bill is tied up in the courts and depending upon how long the Wisconsin Supreme Court recount will take will determine how long before the court matter is cleared up. She was implying that Justice David Prosser would most certainly rule in favor of Gov. Scott Walker and the Legislature Majority.

WSEU Responds To Call for Recount

Kloppenburg Right to Make Sure That Every Vote Counts

A recount in the Supreme Court race is entirely appropriate given the record-breaking turnout, questionable vote reporting in Waukesha County and the razor-thin margin in the race, said Marty Beil, executive director of the Wisconsin State Employees Union, AFSCME Council 24.

"The citizens of Wisconsin deserve to have their confidence restored in elections after the result was reversed based on botched numbers from a clerk who used to work for one of the candidates," Beil said.

"The turnout in this race was far beyond the norm, and this appears to have stretched the system.

Mistakes can happen. And in a race this close, every voter deserves to know that his or her vote was counted," Beil said. Wisconsin law clearly anticipates such questions and provides for a recount in races that are this close.

"Too many questions hang over this election, and we appreciate JoAnne Kloppenburg's diligence in standing up for the integrity of our elections," Beil said.

Recount in WSC Race Still Under Consideration

Joanne Kloppenburg has until 5:00pm on Wednesday, 04/20/2011 to decide if she will call for a recount.

Joanne Kloppenburg's campaign manager has stated; "We haven’t made a decision on whether to request a recount and are carefully weighing the options," Mulliken said yesterday. "State law clearly contemplates a recount if the margin in an election is within .5 percent and this race falls within that."
